DUBLIN/DOHA: Al Jazeera Children’s Channel has acquired five new animated series from Monster Entertainment’s kids’ catalogue, including Pip Ahoy.

The 52×11-minute series Pip Ahoy follows the adventures of a happy-go-lucky young puppy named Pip and his best friend, a kitten named Alba, in and around a seaside resort called Salty Cove. Al Jazeera Children’s Channel has also signed on for the family-friendly series Jungle Beat, which follows a team of adventurers and the animals they encounter. Another title the channel is adding to its slate is Rocka-Bye Island, produced by Magpie 6 Media and Monster Entertainment. The series teaches children about teamwork and how the world works. Additional pickups include two non-dialogue comedy series: the 26×1-minute show Luchien and FlipFlap, a 30×4-minute series.

Monster Entertainment and Al Jazeera Children’s Channel first established a relationship nearly ten years ago.
